Lightning Current Monitoring
Lightning Current Monitoring

IMon-L100 Lightning Current Monitoring Data Acquisition Unit + ISen-L701 Lightning Current Sensor

The IMon-L100 lightning current monitoring data acquisition unit uses the coil in the ISen-L701 sensor to monitor lightning current in the blade grounding conductor. The induced current is converted into a constant optical signal and transmitted by fiber to the main monitoring unit, where it is converted back to an electrical signal and passed through conversion circuits to the CPU. The CPU reconstructs lightning event information from the signal and stores it internally. Lightning data can be queried via RS485.

Technical Advantages

Wide Lightning Current Range: 10–200 kA, meeting wind turbine Lightning Protection Level LPL I requirements
Separately monitors lightning events on all three blades, recording current amplitude, blade channel and event time, with fiber-optic signal transmission
Provides calculated discharge charge, specific energy, waveform and steepness for a first-stroke lightning current waveform of 10/350 μs
Fiber-optic transmission and shielded cables for strong electromagnetic interference environments
Waterproof and Dustproof Design: IP67
Complies with IEC 61400-24, IEC 62561-6 and other standards
