Event: Radial vibration at the rear bearing of the gearbox high-speed shaft exceeded the limit and reached the high-alarm level. Site personnel requested diagnosis.

Diagnostic conclusion: Vibration energy at the rear bearing of the gearbox high-speed shaft substantially exceeded the limit. Multiple spectra showed clear gear-mesh frequencies, numerous bearing characteristic fault frequencies and their harmonics, and an elevated noise floor. These findings indicated a middle-to-late-stage fault, and the analyst recommended prompt intervention.

Site verification: After we communicated the results, the customer inspected the gearbox with a borescope and confirmed severe gear damage. The gearbox was subsequently replaced.
